What do you sell and what services do you provide?
I currently work in three areas: cine-modified lenses, follow focus gears, and lens rehousing.
Some products are available for direct purchase, and I also provide custom services in each of these areas.
Are you a company or an individual?
I work independently.
I handle everything personally — from communication and production to shipping and writing this text.
Where are you located?
I am based in Ukraine.
Is it possible to work with you during wartime?
Yes. International shipping operates normally.
Delivery times and production timelines may be slightly longer, but operations remain stable.
Will you expand the product range on the website?
No. My long-term focus is to transition fully to customer lens rehousing and to further develop my workshop and technical capabilities in that direction.
Ready-to-purchase products will gradually be reduced.
Shipping & Returns
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. I ship worldwide with tracking.
How long does shipping take?
Standard shipping: approximately 3 weeks.
Express shipping (UPS): 1–2 weeks.
Delivery times may vary depending on destination and customs processing.
Who is responsible during shipping?
1. Finished products (Cinemetalmod sales):
I am responsible until the item is delivered.
2. Customer equipment sent to me:
Responsibility remains with the sender until confirmed delivery to my workshop.
3. After service is completed:
Responsibility transfers to the recipient once the parcel is handed over to the carrier.
Are taxes or import duties required?
1. When purchasing products:
Yes. International shipments may be subject to customs duties and taxes. Please review your country’s regulations before purchasing.
2. When receiving your lens back after modification or rehousing:
In most cases, no. The shipment is typically declared as a return.
Do you accept returns?
Yes. Returns and exchanges are accepted within 60 days.
Who pays for return shipping?
The buyer covers return shipping unless the return is due to my error or a product issue.
Gears
Can I order a custom gear for my lens?
Yes. Most gears are manufactured individually according to your measurements.
What is the production time?
Approximately 2 weeks.
What measurements are required?
Please provide:
– The outer diameter of the lens at the installation point
– The desired outer diameter of the gear
– The desired gear width (thickness)
All measurements must be in millimeters.
What is the gear pitch?
All gears are cut to 0.8 module (standard cine pitch), compatible with professional follow focus systems.
What material are the gears made from?
The gears are machined from aerospace-grade aluminum and anodized for protection.
Can I choose the color?
Yes. Anodized color options are available.
Modifications & Rehousing
Can I send you my lens for modification or rehousing?
Yes. Please contact me in advance to receive the correct shipping address and instructions.
What is cine modification?
Cine modification is the adaptation of a lens for modern video production use.
It may include:
– Full service and cleaning
– Lubrication replacement
– De-clicked aperture
– Installation of follow focus gears
– Installation of hood and adapter
– Infinity calibration for your mount system
– Body polishing (optional)
– Anamorfake modification (optional)
How long does cine modification take?
Approximately 2 weeks.
What is lens rehousing?
Rehousing is the replacement of the external housing with newly manufactured metal components.
The internal optical and mechanical system remains original.
How long does rehousing take?
Approximately 1 month.
Can I customize the design?
Yes. You can request design adjustments, choose component colors, marking colors, or add custom engraving.
Are all lenses suitable for rehousing?
No. Currently, rehousing is available for lenses with a specific mechanical layout — where the focus ring is positioned farther from the camera and the aperture ring is closer to the camera.
Examples include Helios 44M, Zenitar, and Pentacon models.
I continuously work on expanding the list of supported lenses.
What mounts are available?
Mount options depend on the specific lens.
Commonly available mounts include EF, E, M4/3, and FX.
PL mount is not available for all lenses — please confirm before ordering.
